Nimino: From Underground Beats to Balcony Concerts

Milo Davis, professionally known as Nimino, began carving his niche in the London music industry, crafting auditory journeys that resonate deeply with his listeners. Initially immersing himself in the local scene, Milo nurtured his talent in small gigs where he started to amass a following that appreciated the meticulous passion he infused into every beat. Undeniably, Nimino brought freshness to the electronic dance music (EDM) industry with his initial releases. Starting with evocative singles that captivated audiences, he swiftly moved to enchant listeners with his intricate collections, including his early albums that showcased a growing mastery over the synthesis of immersive soundscapes.

Nimino’s unique approach to electronic music burgeons from a blend of inspirations rooted as much in the rhythms of hip hop as in the ephemeral landscapes of computer gaming soundscapes. Nimino builds his tracks layer by layer, stitching together experiences, and emotions into auditory tapestries that beckon listeners into worlds of his creation. This meticulous approach has allowed him to carve out a niche that is both nostalgic and innovative, evoking the classic sounds of hip hop with the futuristic auditory aesthetics of gaming, offering a rich and immersive experience that invites listeners to lose themselves in the intricate details of his crafted worlds.

Nimino's "Woods EP" and the full-length album "Rooms on the Ark" stand as a testament to his evolving narrative style. Each offering is a kaleidoscope of sounds, drawing from the sounds of the London Underground to the randomized echoes of arcade games. Both collections carry listeners on a journey through carefully constructed realms of sound, bookended by intros and outros that offer a cohesive narrative thread, weaving a rich tapestry that tells stories larger than the sum of its parts.

Recently, London buzzed with excitement as news spread of an impromptu concert, with Nimino playing from a alleyway balcony. “Things got a little out of hand at the end…” writes Nimino on Instagram, as people got wind of the event and joined in on the festivities. Nimino’s approach to music and his fans harkens back to much less commercialized version of house music, that is more about listening to music together than overwrought light shows and expensive tickets.

Nimino is gearing up for new heights with a tour alongside Ben Böhmer and upcoming album releases that promise to further delve into the depths of Nimino's complex sound universes. His recent breakout singles such "No Sympathy" and the collaborative gem "Can't Get Over" featuring Lucas Geddes are tracks that are already breaking through on the charts and certainly have the potential to propel Nimino to the global stage.
